The fall TV season is taking shape. Networks have ordered dozens of new pilots starring familiar faces like Friends' David Schwimmer, Dexter's Jennifer Carpenter, Southland's Benjamin McKenzie and Grey's Anatomy alum Katherine Heigl, and from proven producers like The Mentalist'sBruno Heller, Sleepy Hollowcreators Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, How I Met Your Motherbosses Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, 30 Rock's Tina Fey and Arrow's Greg Berlanti.

DRAMA

Allegiance
This high-octane thriller introduces the O'Connor family and their son, Alex (Gavin Stenhouse), a decorated American war hero and CIA analyst, a true patriot who loves his country and family. Unbeknownst to him, both his parents (Scott Cohen and Hope Davis) and his sister (Margarita Levieva) are part of a dormant Russian sleeper cell that has just been reactivated. The Adjustment Bureau's George Molfi will write, direct and executive-produce with Homeland's Avi Nir. Annie Ilonzeh, Morgan Spector, Alex Peters and Kenneth Choi will also star.

Babylon Fields
The dead are rising in Babylon, N.Y. Their newly regenerated bodies are healing faster and growing stronger than anyone else, leading to the suspicion that they might be the next step in human evolution. Gerald Cuesta and Michael Atkinson will write and executive-produce with director Dexter's Michael Cuesta. Virginia Madsen, Meagan Good, Skeet Ulrich, Ritchie Coster, Yul Vazquez, S. Epatha Merkerson and Kyle Schmid will star.

Constantine
DC Comics character Constantine (Matt Ryan) struggles with his faith as he is haunted by the sins of his past, but he is suddenly thrust into the role of defending humanity from the gathering forces of darkness. Batman Begins' David Goyer will executive-produce with writer Daniel Cerone (Dexter). Harold Perrineau, Lucy Griffiths and Charles Halford also star.

Mysteries of Laura
A procedural dramedy based on a Spanish series stars a quirky female homicide detective (Debra Messing) who juggles high-stakes crime with her ex-husband (Josh Lucas) and a devilish set of twin boys. The Tomorrow People's Jeff Rake will write and executive-produce with Arrow's Greg Berlanti and Aaron Kaplan. Laz Alonso and Janina Gavankar will also star.

Odyssey
Three families are torn apart when a stranded female soldier (Pushing Daisies' Anna Friel), a disillusioned corporate attorney and a political activist are pulled into the same shocking international mystery. The Following producers Adam Armus and Kay Foster will write and executive-produce with Deception's Peter Horton. Peter Facinelli, Treat Williams, Jim True-Frost, Jake Robinson, Nate Mooney, Adwale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Elena Kampouris and Daniella Pineda will also star.

Salvation
This provocative drama, set against the backdrop of a prominent Texas church, explores faith, family and corruption in equal measure. Jennifer Strickland (Ashley Judd) has to defend her children, church and religious beliefs after her husband dies under mysterious circumstances. Deception creator Liz Heldens will write and executive-produce with Six Feet Under's David Janollari. Danny Huston, Warren Kole, Ryan McPartlin, Stark Sands, Emma Dumont, Jake Picking, Rob Brown, Jessica Lu and Meg Steedle will co-star.

State of Affairs
Grey's Anatomy alum Katherine Heigl portrays a CIA attaché who counsels the president (Alfre Woodard) on international security. She balances her intense political responsibilities with a complicated personal life. Heigl will executive-produce with writers Joe Carnahan (The Blacklist) and Alexi Hawley (Castle). Adam Kaufman, Sheila Vand, Leslie Odom Jr., Tommy Savas, Farshad Farahat and Cliff Chamberlain will also star.

Tin Man
This psychological crime thriller pairs a fugitive robot (Patrick Heusinger) accused of first-degree murder who may hold the key to the future of human evolution and his (its?) public defender forced to fight his case. Transformers' Ehren Kruger will write and executive-produce. Shaun Toub, Kathleen York, Kristen Connolly, Vondie Curtis Hall, Ryun Yu, Tim Choiu and Kara Killmer will also star.

COMEDY

A to Z
How I Met Your Mother's Cristin Milioti and Mad Men's Ben Feldman will star in this whimsical romantic comedy set at an online dating company that details the "A to Z's" of a relationship, from the first meet-cute to the breakup. Parks and Recreation's Rashida Jones will executive-produce with Will McCormack and Ben Queen, who will also write. Henry Zebrowski, Christina Kirk and Leonora Crichlow will co-star.

Bad Judge
A sexually unapologetic woman (Kate Walsh), who also happens to be a judge in the criminal court system, plays with the law in many ways. The Incredible Burt Wonderstone's Chad Kultgen will write and executive-produce with Walsh, Will Ferrell, Anne Heche, Adam McKay and Jill Messick. John Ducey, Mather Zickel, Robby Shoemaker, Theodore Barnes, Miguel Sandoval, Tone Bell and Arden Myrin also star.

Ellen More or Less
After losing 100 pounds, an average-sized woman (Stacey McGunnigle) reinvents herself. Parenthood's Jason Katims will executive-produce with New Girl's J.J. Philbin, who will write. Chris Diamantopoulos, Joshua Gomez, Jama Williamson, Michael Liu and Tate Ellington will also star.

Feed Me
A comedic exploration of adult intimacy and desire that centers on a dysfunctional family bound by love and the restaurant they run together. And when daughter Emma's husband has an affair, they circle the wagons to fiercely protect one of their own. Steel Magnolia's Sally Robinson, Paul Witt and Tony Thomas will executive-produce. Mary-Louise Parker, Andrea Parker, Debra Monk, Ethan Peck, Ed Quinn, Hart Bochner and Toks Olagundoye will star.

Lifesaver
This odd-couple comedy limns the relationship between organ donor (Jonathan Ryland) and recipient (Christian Borle). Friends executive producer Wil Calhoun will write and executive-produce the pilot alongside Peter Traugott (Samantha Who?) and Rachel Kaplan (Do No Harm). Lindsay Price, Harriet Harris and Chris Butler will also star.

Love Is Relative
A couple revisits their marriage when the wife's (Leslie Bibb) newly divorced brother (Barry Rothbart) moves in. Borat's Dan Mazer will write and executive-produce with Roseanne's Tom Werner and Tom Lassally. Jason Jones and Utkarsh Ambudkar will also star.

Marry Me
This half-hour comedy tells the story of longtime couple Annie (Happy Endings star Casey Wilson) and Jake (Ken Marino), who get engaged only to quickly realize it's harder than it looks. Happy Endings creator David Caspe will write and executive-produce with Jamie Tarses and The Goldbergs' Seth Gordon, who will also helm the pilot. Sarah Wright, Tymberlee Hill, John Gemberling, Tim Meadows and Dan Bucatinsky will also star.

Mason Twins
Estranged fraternal twins Pender (June Raphael) and Lizzie Mason (Erinn Hayes) reconnect after Lizzie's perfect city life falls apart, and she returns to her suburban town, where she finds that Pender hasn't matured past her teen-queen days. Happy Endings' Casey Wilson and Raphael will write and executive-produce. Windell Middlebrooks, Todd Grinnell, Bret Ernst and Jinhee Joung will also star.

Mission Control
This 1960s-set workplace ensemble in the tone of Anchorman examines what happens when a strong woman (Krysten Ritter) butts heads with a macho astronaut (Tommy Dewey) in the race to land on the moon. How to Be a Gentleman's David Hornsby will write and executive-produce with Will Ferrell and Adam McKay. Michael Rosenbaum, Malcolm Barrett, Julie Meyer, Eric Nenninger, Leah Renee and Jonathan Slavin will co-star.

Old Soul
Orange Is the New Black's Natasha Lyonne plays a young woman who's trying to find herself while working as an aide to a group of senior citizens that include Fred Willard, Ellen Burstyn and Rita Moreno. Parks and Recreation's Amy Poehler will executive-produce. Nick Thune and Greta Lee will also star.

One Big Happy
When a gay woman (Elisha Cuthbert) and her straight best friend (Nick Zano) decide to have a baby together, things get complicated when one of them finds the love of their life. Ellen DeGeneres and comedian Liz Feldman will executive-produce. Kelly Brook, Chris Williams, Brandon Smith and Rebecca Corry will also star.

The Pro
Rob Lowe stars in this country club-set comedy as a former tennis champion who is reunited with his ex-doubles partner (Rob Riggle) after a public feud that left them both floundering in life. The Parks and Recreationalum will executive-produce alongside King of the Hill's Peter Huyck and Alex Gregory, who will also write. Rebecca Romijn, Kevin Nealon, Rosa Salazar, Andrea Savage and Colton Dunn will also star.

Two to Go
Longtime best friends Kurt (Michael Stahl-David) and Laura (Christine Woods) grapple with the challenges of dating while their group of friends try to prove that they are destined to be together. Arrested Development's Jason Bateman will executive-produce the comedy with Growing Up Fisher's Jim Garavente and Six Feet Under's David Janollari. Echo Kellum, Angelique Cabral, Dana DeLorenzo and Kim Shaw will also star.
