Oh boy, here we go again

We're still not done unmasking all of the costume-clad stars on The Masked Singer's first season, but it looks like a whole new crop of celebs will be picking out their zany outfits soon enough.

Fox announced Wednesday that The Masked Singer will return for Season 2. The smash-hit celebrity singing competition has emerged as the year's most formidable new reality show since its debut in early January.

Host Nick Cannon and panelists Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke are expected to return to do some more sleuthing in the second season.

As for who will be singing in The Masked Singer's next round, chances are we won't know any of the names and faces associated with the new lineup of concealed contestants until they, too, are voted out of the competition -- or go on to win the whole thing.

So far in Season 1, Antonio Brown, Tommy Chong, Terry Bradshaw and Margaret Cho have all been relieved of their various WTF getups, but still in play right now are Alien, Bee, Lion, Monster, Peacock, Rabbit, Raven and Unicorn. In other words, there are still a lot more famous people to embarrass before the curtain drops on Season 1.

Here's hoping the second season will be even more delightfully absurd than the first.

The Masked Singer airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Fox.
