The CW announced Wednesday, a week before the Season 6 premiere, that The 100 has officially been renewed for Season 7, meaning Clarke (Eliza Taylor), Bellamy (Bob Morley), and the rest of the space gang will be back for more shenanigans on this new planet they've discovered sometime next year. The renewal doesn't come as a total surprise though; CW President Mark Pedowitz told reporters at the Television Critics Association winter press tour that showrunner Jason Rothenberg was already hard at work developing a potential Season 7 earlier this year.
The CW also handed out renewals to freshman series Roswell, New Mexico and All American, which were both on the bubble. Finally, The CW's newest series, In the Dark, about a blind woman who attempts to solve the murder of her friend with the help of her seeing-eye dog, Pretzel, also snagged a renewal ahead of the series' fourth episode.
If you're keeping track, these renewals mean The CW made it through the 2018-2019 season without canceling a single series. While that is nice for fans of the network's current programming, it will make for an interesting pilot season at The CW; Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Jane the Virgin, and iZombie will all end this season, making them the only series leaving the network and thus clearing up space on The CW's schedule.
