The CW is beating every other network to the punch with a huge renewal announcement for basically everything on its current lineup!
All of the DC superhero shows (Arrow, The Flash, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl, and Black Lightning) have been picked up for another season. Predictably, Supernatural also made the list of renewals, as did Dynasty, Riverdale and the two freshman dramas Legacies and Charmed. All American, on the other hand, has not been chosen for early renewal. The fate of Roswell, New Mexico, which just premiered this month, has also been left up in the air, but that's a less worrisome omission considering it has only just launched.
With this huge renewal order, the list of CW shows still waiting to receive word about their futures has become a very small pool, with only The 100 and the upcoming In the Dark joining previously mentioned Roswell, New Mexico, and All-American.
It's not surprising that The CW is doubling down on its impressive lineup, especially considering they've expanded to Sunday night programming and they're losing three series (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Jane the Virgin and iZombie) when they wrap up their current final seasons. It's a good time to be working for The CW, that's for sure!
