What do House's Hugh Laurie, Desperate Housewives Teri Hatcher and Heroes' Greg Grunberg all have in common? If you said they're all on TV, you're only half right. All of these famous faces are also using their serious musical talents to raise money for a good cause.

Led by Grunberg on the drums, the Band From TV initially started out a few years back as a couple of buddies (who happened to be on popular television shows) jamming out together. It wasn't until a performance at a House of Blues alongside fellow celebs that Grunberg took note of the overwhelming positive response from the audience that he formed the Band as a platform to raise money for charitable causes.

"Everyone has a charity they represent," Grunberg told TVGuide.com. "All the money we bring in — which is a lot of money — goes out to the various charities." Grunberg, whose oldest son has epilepsy, performs for the National Epilepsy Foundation, and others include several organizations ranging from The Conservation Fund to Save the Children.

Members of the Band include Laurie (piano), Jesse Spencer (violin), Hatcher (vocals), James Denton (guitar), Heroes'Adrian Pasdar (bass), The Bachelor's Bob Guiney (vocals) and Cashmere Mafia's Bonnie Somerville — not to mention the wide array of guest stars, including Heroes' Hayden Panettiere, Chuck's Zach Levi and Lost's Jorge Garcia.

During a recent gig at Mohegan Sun's Wind Casino grand opening, TVGuide.com caught up with the band members and was floored by Spencer killing it on the violin and Denton rockin' his best Elvis.

The group's debut CD/DVD release, "Hoggin' All the Covers" is now available for sale on Amazon.com (available Oct. 28th) and features a front row seat to past performances from the celebrity ensemble as well as a backstage look into the Band's world. "All the proceeds, again, go to each of our individual charities, and it's such a great thing we got to do it," said lead vocalist Bob Guiney. It's fun, it's interactive, and with the everything going on with the economy and everything else, it's a feel good stocking stuffer [laughs]."
