  • Will Meat Loaf and House Make Beautiful Music Together? | Today's News: Our Take | 4/5/2009
If you come away from this Monday's episode of House without recognizing the actor who played the central patient, Meat Loaf will consider his guest-star turn a job well done.

"I started as an actor," not a musician, he points out. "People don't realize it, but I did the Rocky Horror movie before [the album] Bat Out of Hell." And when he tells people he was in Fight Club, some tend to doubt him. (He played Bob.)

Relishing his ability to vanish into a role, he says, "My ideal situation is for people to watch House ... and not even know it's me."

Meat Loaf checks into the hit Fox drama as a long-ailing man whose ... read more 19 Comments

A-listers reigned supreme at the 35th Annual People's Choice Awards Wednesday night at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

The Dark Knight continued to make an impact this award season by nabbing five trophies, including Favorite Movie and Favorite Action Movie. Batman himself, Christian Bale, was named Favorite Superhero and was also recognized, along with the late Heath Ledger, in the Favorite On-Screen Match-up category.

Also awarded in the film categories were Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who were missing in action from the ceremony. Pitt was named Favorite Leading Man, while Jolie was voted Favorite Female Action star.

Will Smith was a double winner, nabbing Favorite Male Movie Star and Favorite Male Action Star, while Reese Witherspoon was named Favorite Female Movie Star.

Ellen DeGeneres presented the first award of the night, filling in for Kate Hudson whom, she said, was stuck in traffic and "40 minutes away." DeGeneres quipped, "That's no way to sell a movie." Later, DeGeneres... read more 11 Comments

  • House Boss: "Huddy" Romance Is "Unorthodox, Yet Incredibly Real" | Today's News: Our Take | 11/12/2008
At this moment, neither House nor Cuddy knows what to make of their spontaneous, born-out-of-sadness lip-lock. He, of course, is passive-aggressively shrugging it off, while she tried to deny to Wilson that she had any interest in her underling ... only to instead prove that she has thought about it. A lot. At the close of this week's episode, House got as far as his boss' doorstep, but couldn't quite bring himself to ring her bell (literally or figuratively).

Should fans of Fox's House brace themselves for one of television's most unorthodox romances? Read on for executive producer Katie Jacobs' take on the hot topic. read more 46 Comments
