Director Keith Beauchamp's film examines the 1955 murder of 14-year-old Emmett Louis Till in Mississippi. The black Chicago teen was slain after supposedly whistling at a white woman outside a store in Tallahatchee County. Two white men were tried for murder and were acquitted by an all-white jury.
