It's hard for new mothers to find the time to workout when caring for a newborn takes so much time and energy. The Method has developed a postnatal yoga workout that energizes and conditions the mother and that mom and baby can do together. Instructor Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa leads this yoga class of 22 new mothers and their babies, ranging in age from two to five months. The 40-minute workout targets the post-pardem trouble spots -- the abs, gluteus, and thighs. Most of the exercises are done with your baby beside you, and some use the baby as a weight (which makes mom a target for drool and vomit). Most mothers polled about the video did the workout when their babies were napping, but both mom and baby enjoyed the baby yoga and infant massage exercises toward the end of the workout.
