Lili Reinhart is not here for your Game of Thrones shaming. According to ET Canada, the Riverdale star slammed the fan petition to remake Season 8 of the HBO's fantasy series, which wraps its final season this Sunday.

"This is not how television works..." she wrote in a comment on Variety's Instagram post about the story. "TV shows are not fan service. It's ridiculous of people to think they can demand creative change from artists." Earlier this month, fans started a petition amid backlash over this season, which some say has failed to live up to the hype.

It all began with episode 3's "The Long Night," which many complained was poorly filmed and too dark to see on TV screens. Some criticized the showdown with the Night King at Winterfell as anticlimactic. The criticism has increased since then, with complaints ranging from a misplaced coffee cup to out-of-character moments, unsatisfying deaths and its continued lack of diversity. The show even drew criticism from celebrities for its mistreatment of female characters, as well as from Game of Thrones cast members themselves.

"David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent writers when they have no source material (i.e. the books) to fall back on. This series deserves a final season that makes sense," the petition read. It currently has more than 837,000 signatures.

Game of Thrones wraps its final season on Sunday at 9/8c on HBO.
