Oksana Grigorieva: I Thought Mel Gibson Would Kill Me

Oksana Grigorieva says she thought Mel Gibson was going to kill her when they got into a heated argument earlier this year.
"I thought he would kill me," Grigorieva tells People in a new interview.
In one of the six angry audio recordings leaked over the summer, Grigorieva said Gibson hit her while she was holding their infant daughter, Lucia.

"You hit me, and you hit [Lucia] while she was in my hands! Mel, you're losing your mind. You need medication," Grigorieva said in the recording.The Russian singer tells the magazine that she taped Gibson's phone calls, which contained threats and racial slurs, for documentation. She says the actor — who declined to comment for the People story — often went into jealous rages, talked about suicide, and brandished a gun in front of her one time.Gibson, who's under investigation for alleged domestic violence against Grigorieva, has said that his ex threatened to leak the recordings if he didn't pay her. Grigorieva denies that she used the tapes to extort him.

"I'm not angry at him," she says. "For the sake of Lucia, I really want him to be well. He has to have the courage to be responsible for what he's done."
