The crew of a Canadian passenger plane comes down with food poisoning and cannot finish the flight. WW II fighter pilot Andrews must take the controls and land the plane. Can he overcome his neurosis about flying? Can he rekindle wife Darnell's love for him? Can ground controller Hayden bring it all to a happy ending? Great fun, based on a TV drama written by Hailey, who would go on to pen the novel and film AIRPORT, ZERO HOUR! also served as the basis for the wild comedy AIRPLANE.
