Voyage to the Planet of Prehistoric Women Reviews

This is a rehash job--along with VOYAGE TO A PREHISTORIC PLANET (1965)--spliced with scenes from PLANETA BURG (AKA: STORM PLANET), a film coproducer Corman bought from the Russians. Astronauts land on Venus where they encounter dreamy looking women such as Van Doren — in a good role for her because she's not required to act — as well as nasty monsters. Van Doren and company turn out to be good guys when they help the astronauts get back to Earth. This picture is more interesting for the splicing job than for its own intrinsic worth. Although this was Peter Bogdanovich's first directing effort, he billed himself as Derek Thomas. Maybe he knew how bad it was going to be.
