Decent entry from the RED RYDER series, with Lane on hand in Carson City to try to ensure that the local bank is not robbed during a championship boxing match between Dehner and Turner. Complications arise when Stewart gets in the way; she does everything possible to see that the fight does not take place. This includes the proposed kidnaping of Turner just before the start of the fight. Lane is grabbed by mistake and must make it back to town before the holdup takes place. Plenty of well-paced action. The picture is loosely based on an actual heavyweight championship match that took place between champion James J. Corbett and challenger Bob Fitzsimmons in Carson City, Nevada, in 1897. Corbett, played by Turner, might well have wished that he had been kidnaped; he was the loser.
