Triple Threat Reviews

Don Whitney (Richard Crane) is a conceited college football player who, when he graduates and goes into the professional arena, gets the stuffing knocked out of him. The dull plot plods along to a cliched ending between lively shots of gridiron greats in action, but those are newsreel clips and barely further the story. The football pros (Sid Luckman, Sammy Baugh, and others) and announcers (Tom Harmon, Harry Wismer, Bob Kelley) in the film are mostly just introduced and do little themselves to make the story sing.
