The plot is stretched a little in this small-time crime film about an undercover policeman trying to break up not one, but two, gambling rings in a small West Coast community. Richmond is the undercover cop assigned to the case, and, in the end, he not only gets the two factions to knock each other off, but to take care of the cops on the take also. The plot line appears to have been lifted whole from Dashiell Hammett's brilliant novel, Red Harvest.
