Tower of London Reviews

A pallid remake of the 1939 classic that paired Basil Rathbone and Boris Karloff. Price, who had been drowned by Karloff in a wine vat in the first version, now stars as the man who will stop at nothing to ascend to the English throne in the 15th century. He likes to torture all of his victims and grows more insane with each murder. He kills a woman who is in charge of watching over the king's sons. Finally, in a battle between the queen's army and Price's, Price sees the ghosts of all his past victims and, completely deranged, falls off his horse onto the battle ax of a dead soldier. Historical nonsense, this story is virtually tame this time around.
