They Were Not Divided Reviews

The plight of two soldiers, one British and one American, in the tank corps during WW II is covered over a span of five years, from the time they are recruited until their death in the battle at Ardennes. Emphasis is placed more on the men's personal lives and the interaction among the other soldiers than upon actual battle scenes. Although the pace lags, a number of interesting caricatures are provided, including one of the nastiest top-sergeants to hit the screen.
