Nicholson's admirable performance can't do much for this tired tale about a murderous hot-rodder (Nicholson) who runs motorcycle cops off the road. Nicholson is miffed at onetime buddy Bean for going straight and giving up life in the fast lane in exchange for a possessive girl friend (Carter). Nicholson kidnaps Carter and, in the process, kills a few more coppers before biting the dust himself.
