Benny Avalon (Bubba Smith) is a local cop who works with ghetto kids and rarely takes off his sweats, while Joe Jennings (Beau Bridges) is an FBI agent attempting to catch drug dealer Ivory (Raymond St. Jacques). They are teamed together unwillingly, and each refuses to respect or trust the other until the drug dealers start getting nasty. Barely watchable. Smith should stick to less demanding roles, at least until he learns to enunciate his words a little better. This barely saw a theatrical release in 1987, going straight to second-run houses.
