More junk from Ovidio Assonitis (who directed PIRANHA II: THE SPAWNING and TENTACLES), THE VISITOR boasts an all-star cast, but the actors are just going through the motions. Basically an OMEN ripoff, the plot concerns a wealthy Atlanta sports magnate, Mel Ferrer, who is involved with an international satanic cult. As it happens, his eight-year-old daughter, Paige Connor, is the Antichrist. Glenn Ford plays the hapless detective who gets too nosy and has his eyes pecked out by birds. While most of the film is patently absurd, the ending really goes over the top. Though his name was displayed prominently in the cast list, have good luck spotting Sam Peckinpah (director of THE WILD BUNCH and STRAW DOGS) as an abortionist (he's seen only from the back).
