A hired gunfighter and his former protégé, now on opposite sides of the law, clash over a watering hole meant for cattle. Don "Red" Barry, Noah Beery. Mary: Luana Walters. Wallace: David Durand. Directed by George Sherman.

Beery is Barry's foster father, teaching the young man all his tricks in the gunslinging trade. Later, Barry realizes that the straight and narrow is his true path, and, when he defends a cattle ranch, Barry must face his former mentor in a gunfight. Neither can pull the trigger, so all ends happily. An average western. Beery does some good work. Sherman directed 17 of Barry's first 18 films for Republic.
