The Chekhov classic of 19th-century Russia, performed by the Actors Studio. Kim Stanley, Geraldine Page, Sandy Dennis, Shelley Winters, Luther Adler. Paul Bogart directed.
Chekhov's classic is badly bungled in this production, a videotape-to-film record of the Actor's Studio 1966 production directed by Lee Strasberg. The fine cast seem to be going off in all directions at once. An excellent film for criticizing Method Acting.
