An old oater theme is given modern production techniques and looks none the better for it. The characters are all stereotypes, and plot development is handled in a strictly routine fashion. Egan plays a sheriff who has decided to retire to a ranch but discovers he must fight a crooked businessman. Old cowboy entries are at least fun to watch for the great character actors doing their bits. This does not even have that, though Pickens has a role.
