A slowly paced programmer about an Irish singer who leaves his wife and child behind in England to become a success in the U.S. When he earns enough money in the States, he returns to England but finds that his family has gone--their lives disrupted by the onset of WW II. He joins the RAF and after some time is reunited with his loved ones.
