First feature film directed by Hollywood gag man Sam White was a routine police story starring hard-boiled Hudson as the girl friend of policeman Bennett who hedges from a romantic commitment to her man because her father, O'Shea, also a cop, was crippled in the line of duty. Bennett, however, is luckier than the father and is able to smash a crime gang and rescue Hudson and her dad from the clutches of an escaped convict without receiving a scratch.
