It marked one of the most haunting and pivotal events in the history of global jurisprudence: from November 20, 1945 through October 1, 1946, the International Military Tribunal met in the Nuremberg Palace of Justice to fulfill the mission set forth by the Big Three Powers at the WWII conferences of Teheran (1943), Moscow (1943), Potsdam (1945) and Yalta (1945). Over that ten-month period, judges and juries occupied 22,000 m2 of space, 530 offices and 80 courtrooms in Nuremberg, Germany, and set about prosecuting 24 Nazi war criminals and six criminal organizations, including Nazi leadership corps, the Secret Service, the Security Police (SD) the Gestapo, the SA, and the Command and General Staff of the High Army. As executive produced by Gary Peet and Kim Lyon, this documentary takes viewers inside of the trials for a look back at the justice process.
