The Night Holds Terror Reviews

A tense film noir based on a true story, this stars Kelly as a middle-class family man returning to his desert home after a business trip into LA. On the road he picks up a hitchhiker, Edwards, who jams a gun in his ribs and forces him to pick up his bloodthirsty accomplices, Cassavetes and Cross. The crooks move in with Kelly and his family and terrorize them until Kelly can sell his car to raise enough money to get rid of them. The hoods take the money but then kidnap Kelly when they learn that his father is rich. The FBI becomes involved and, with help from the phone company, traces the crooks to their lair. In the end the kidnapers are killed and Kelly is reunited with his family. A well-constructed, powerful film.
