In 1916 a group of Yale undergraduates form a privately funded air militia and become some of the first U.S. pilots in the First World War. The pilots tell their own story through readings of their letters and journals. Interviews with historians and descendants of the aviators reveal the historical context and the impact of their contributions even today.
