The Midnight Phantom Reviews

Reviewed By: Hans J. Wollstein

Slow moving, badly acted and directed (Bernard B. Ray's stage directions are actually heard on the soundtrack in at least two instances), and poorly written, Midnight Phantom may test the patience of even the most ardent B-movie fan. It doesn't take a well-versed armchair sleuth long to figure out "whodunit," but the cast of characters are unbelievably dense, preoccupied, as they are, with spouting long-winded, pseudo-philosophical dialogue. The opening Big City montage, however, is well executed, but promises far more than Midnight Phantom can possibly deliver.
