Satire on '40s private-eye capers wherein a feckless mail-order private detective partners with a chicken hatchery owner to solve a milkman's murder. They soon learn the deceased milkman had a secret life as an animal fetishist.

This comic spoof on film noir detective movies has Dell as a novice private eye trying to solve the murder of his eccentric milkman. The film has a few genuinely funny moments and some good performances, but otherwise, it is a cliche-filled attempt at parody. Made in 1973, it was shelved for two years and had limited appeal upon release.
