The Loves and Times of Scaramouche Reviews

Sarrazin is the noted French lover who spends his time in and out of bed with various females as he is followed by the persistent Napoleon (Maccione). The latter is pretty funny, but the rest of the film does not match his comic turns. The story, told at a frenzied pitch, tries to hide its empty plot under a mantle of speed. It does not work well, resulting in the film's seeming a pale imitation of TOM JONES.
