A sudden reduction of the earth's oxygen leaves only three survivors on the planet. They are gangster Carbone, his wife, Jones-Moreland, and lawyer Wain. Naturally, the two men fight for the affections of the only female. Actor Edward Wain was in reality Robert Towne who wrote the script for this film, his screenwriting debut. Thirteen years later, he would hit the big time with his script for THE LAST DETAIL, quickly followed by CHINATOWN and SHAMPOO.
