The Juror Reviews

Reasonably intelligent, ably crafted suspense, courtesy of screenwriter Ted Tally (SILENCE OF THE LAMBS), who deftly transcends the property's origins as a second-rate pulp novel. Demi Moore plays a resourceful single mom empanelled as a juror in a high-profile murder case; Alec Baldwin is a smooth mob lieutenant under orders to rig the verdict. He sets out to suborn her vote through some genuinely imaginative forms of harassment and intimidation. Moore is fine in her harried Everywoman mode, and Baldwin is the most gleefully twisted screen villain since Richard Widwark pushed a paraplegic downstairs in KISS OF DEATH.
