The Gentle Rain Reviews

A frigid 17-year-old girl from New York City, Day, runs away to Rio where she falls in love with architect George, who has become mute since an accident in which his girl friend was killed. She tries to convince him to see a psychiatrist, but he refuses, thinking she wants him to return with her to her socialite crowd. The psychotic pair never quite get their act together and the wimpering Day, after giving George an ultimatum, takes off. Day and George do have a convincing screen presence and try their best with this elementary script. They later married and she began using the name Lynda Day George.
