Richardson stars in this insightful thriller as a barber who steals a small amount of cash to appease his wife's spending habits. She pays off a bill to Oscar, a drape maker, and the stolen bills are traced back to Oscar. He blackmails the couple, but Richardson retaliates by killing him. His wife takes the car and leaves town for a safer place while Richardson stays behind. He is eventually surrounded and killed by police after learning his wife was involved in a fatal collision. Twenty minutes cut from British release.
