Wakefield is an ex-boxer who falls in love with impoverished Wyndham. Jenns, Wakefield's fiancee, has the poor girl framed for a robbery, but wealthy writer Raine intervenes and brings the lovers together while seeing that Jenns gets what's coming to her. Sporadically funny romantic comedy in the usual straightforward style of director Walker, who later turned to making religious films. Chesney was the brother of the great character actor Edmund Gwenn, the unforgettable Santa Claus in MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET (1947).
