The Devil's Bedroom Reviews

A grim crime drama directed and coproduced by L.Q. Jones which tells the tale of an evil brother, Dick Jones, who, along with his equally vile sister-in-law, Allen, attempts to drive his sibling Lupton insane, thus gaining access to his land which sits on an untapped oil well. Allen turns the tables on Jones by convincing Lupton that his brother is insane. Lupton has Jones committed, but the brother escapes and makes his way back to the ranch where he is found dead in the barn. Soon after, Allen is found drowned in a well, which sends the angry and suspicious townsfolk into a lynching frenzy. In the end, although the sheriff determines both deaths to be accidental, Lupton is burned to death by the mob. L.Q. Jones would later go on to direct A BOY AND HIS DOG, an interesting cult favorite.
