The Curse of the Aztec Mummy Reviews

The evil Dr. Krupp (Luis Aceves Castaneda) escapes from the police and unleashes a fiendish plot to steal the treasure hidden in an Aztec pyramid. Just when he has gotten the best of the good guys and his plan is on the verge of success, the Aztec mummy--named Popoca--comes out of its tomb and subdues the villain by locking him in a room with hundreds of poisonous snakes. This wholly enjoyable flick is the third in a series which began in 1957 with the wild THE AZTEC MUMMY and was soon followed by THE ROBOT VS. THE AZTEC MUMMY (1959). All three were filmed and released in Mexico but didn't receive US releases until the 1960s. Although not really part of the series, one of the most outrageous Mexican mummy movies, WRESTLING WOMEN VS. THE AZTEC MUMMY, was released in 1964. All four are great fun.
