The Cool and the Crazy Reviews

Fabled version of what happens when high school student and reform school veteran Marlowe begins pushing marijuana to his classmates. All but one gets hooked on the weed, which drives the teenagers to killings and service station holdups to support their habits. Photography from Birch has good journalistic quality, with Kraushaar's music bringing out the bizarre story. The Kansas City location tends to give a strong feel of reality to the production, a 50s version of REEFER MADNESS.
