The Black Gestapo Reviews

This black exploitation picture profiles "The People's Army" in Watts, scene of the 1965 summer riots. Robinson is the second in command to Perry and wants to take over as top dog. The army was started to get the slumlords and bad dudes out of the ghetto, but the Army becomes as corrupt as the people they have sought to get rid of. This picture is one disgusting, violent scene after another. The actors are only as good as the script, which is awful. This movie died a deservedly horrible death at the box office, and it is doubtful that you will ever see it on TV, unless about an hour is cut...which would make it a 28-minute short subject.
