That's a Good Girl Reviews

Director/actor Buchanan stars in this musical comedy set in the south of France. The plot revolves around his efforts to get himself out of the poorhouse by arranging for his cousin to marry a wealthy friend. Slight, but the perfect vehicle for the sophisticated comic antics of Buchanan, who epitomized the British song-and-dance man of the era. Here he must interact with a variety of stock British characters, and enjoys the affections of an attractive woman detective played by Randolph. One gets the feeling Fred Astaire could have also handled the part nicely in a U.S. version.
