Mahoney took over the role of the title character after being second-billed in TARZAN THE MAGNIFICENT. Here, he ventures to India to aid a herd of elephants about to be swept away by the completion of a dam. The young Jai (a modern version of Sabu) helps Mahoney complete his task and stop the careless plans of contractors Gordon and Dana. Ravi Shankar contributed the score of Indian music.
