Weissmuller spends a great deal of time in Mexican waters, helping Christian and her seaside tribe overthrow the evil leader. He has to defeat an octopus before he can get to the villain, but he eventually frees the people from their high priest's clutches. After 16 years in a loin cloth, Weissmuller made this his final "Tarzan" appearance, though he did go on to 16 JUNGLE JIM films. The film is aided by Florey's fine direction, Draper's superb camera work, and Tiomkin's score.
