Street of Women Reviews

Taken from the novel by Polan Banks, this script moves too slowly and the dialog is too wooden to tell the story of a father and daughter in love with a sister and brother, respectively. Dinehart is an architect with a mistress on the side to relieve the tension from his society-minded wife and a daughter who adores him. The mistress, Francis, has a brother, Vincent, who falls for Dinehart's daughter. He goes to South America, comes back and gets in an auto wreck with his girl. Dinehart's partner, in helping Gateson, shows how Dinehart is flaunting his mistress to everyone and Gateson is being laughed at. She obtains a quickie divorce to free Dinehart, who now becomes a brother-in-law to his son-in-law. Too many angles for the audience to keep track of.
