Street of Sinners Reviews

Excellent action and well-paced story about the trials and tribulations of a first-year police officer sustain interest throughout the film. Montgomery is the rookie cop who, on the first day, has a run-in with Persoff, owner of a tavern and a man with many connections on the street. Montgomery doesn't back down even though his veteran partner, who is retiring, advises him to relax on the rules. By staying tough and alienating the local youths, Montgomery becomes a target. He suffers even more when a drunk woman commits suicide by jumping from his window. After a suspension, and through his own efforts, he solves a killing and unlock's Persoff's hold on everyone in the neighborhood.
