Dashing newsman (Richard Arlen), gorgeous dancer (Vera Hruba Ralston), sinister gambling-den owner (Erich von Stroheim), and secret documents. Otto Kruger, Eduardo Ciannelli, Robert Livingston, Mona Barrie. Lavish production, but not a strong plot. George Sherman directed.

Taking place mostly in a ritzy Portuguese cafe-gambling den, this average programmer is given life by the performance of von Stroheim as the club's unscrupulous owner. He runs up against Arlen and Ralston when he tries to sell the former's secrets to enemy spies, a common pastime for von Stroheim. Unfortunately, the picture isn't helped by Ralston's weak performance. The former ice skater turned actress proved she was better on the ice than on the set.
