A moderately successful attempt at bringing to the big screen three classic Hans Christian Andersen tales, "The Kitchen," "The Little Match Girl," and "Litte Ida." Updated to a modern London locale, the three stories seem a bit too confused for most youngsters to follow, but the kids are likely to be thrilled with the imaginative use of stopframe animation, which allows kitchenware and vegetables to jump around and dance.
