This behind-the-scenes look at a group of young competitors in a girls' junior tennis championship and their parents focuses on 13-year-old Karen Castle (Carling Bassett), an unseeded contestant who is snubbed because of her Las Vegas showgirl mom (Susan Anton). She eventually establishes a friendship with Missy (Shawn Foltz), the top-seeded daughter of rich bitch Celia Berryman (Jessica Walter), although the girls' affections are tested when they are pitted against each other in the tournament finals.
