Racetrack waif Tim (Marvin Stephens) raises a pony that looks like a winner, but is shocked when the trainer he works for sells the horse to the police department. Michael Whalen plays Matt, the friendly cop who helps Tim find out why his horse was not allowed to race. When it turns out the horse was nudged out of competition by gamblers, Matt and Tim conspire to get it back and enter it in a race, with all Matt's fellow men-in-blue betting on the speedy steed. The gamblers have yet another dirty trick up their sleeve, but in the final analysis crime doesn't pay. Henry Armetta provides comic relief as an Italian restaurateur.
