Something to Shout About Reviews

This mediocre attempt to revive vaudeville depicts the backstage workings of a show and how much fun everyone has in its production. Predictable story is about a woman who has won a big alimony settlement, so she decides to put on a vaudeville show. Wright is the untalented star and backer of the show whom Blair replaces at the last minute. Only highlights of this cliched script are the musical numbers by Cole Porter. Songs include the Oscar-nominated "You'd Be So Nice to Come Home To," "I Always Knew," "Hasta Luego," "Lotus Bloom," "Something to Shout About," "Through Thick and Thin."
